clipr lite is the original clipr design – a tiny, ultralight sport climbing clip stick that racks on your harness like a quickdraw. No bulky stick swinging around. No lowering off to fetch it. No hauling one up when your onsight doesn't quite go to plan.
Tiny, until it isn't: 30–200cm
Its friction-based telescopic system does away with bulky locking tabs, maximising reach without adding bulk. At just 30cm packed down, it's even smaller than the standard clipr.
Built to climb with: 170g (70g lighter than the standard clipr!)
Light enough to barely notice on your harness, until you need it.
Limited trial release
clipr lite is actually where clipr started! The original design was eventually superseded by the stronger, more rigid and versatile standard clipr, but clipr lite still wins when it comes to keeping weight and size to an absolute minimum.
We're releasing a small trial batch to gather feedback before deciding whether to make clipr lite a permanent part of the range.
A few things worth knowing
clipr lite is primarily designed for placing quickdraws onto bolts. It can also be used to place a quickdraw with the rope already clipped into it, although this takes a little more skill due to the flexibility of the pole. As with the standard clipr, always support as much of the rope's weight as possible.
Unlike the standard clipr, clipr lite cannot be used to clip a rope into an existing quickdraw, as the pole can rotate.
But for carrying on your harness and placing that just-out-of-reach draw? That's exactly what Lite was made for!
