FAQ’s
Can you use clipr to pull down rope?
Yes! The orange clip can be moved backwards and turned into a hook, allowing you to pull a rope down and keep it in the first draw. Too much rope in the system can lead to excessive resistance and cause the clip to fail; we recommend pulling most of the rope through and using the hook to latch the end.
Can you clip a draw in with a rope?
Yes! When using clipr with a rope, hold the rope so that no more than around 4 metres is hanging in the system. This keeps the load light enough for the pole to support. If too much rope weight is left hanging, the pole may start to contract.
Will my quickdraw fit?
We designed clipr around DMM Alpha Sport and Petzl Spirit biners. If yours is roughly this (standard) shape, it will work! In addition, you can relocate the clip back 4mm to work better for smaller crabs (DMM Wisp /Black Diamond Litewire).
